Our cute little James is FOUR!! We had a friend party at Jump On It and then cake and ice cream at his friend Parker's house. James and Parker are only 4 days apart so we combined work, parties, and cost so make an easy, fun, cheap party :)
James and Dan LOVED it. On his actual birthday, according to James' desires, we had cream of wheat and toast for breakfast, stayed home and played with toys all day, then ate and went to the Train show at TP. On the ride home James said : "This has been a really fun day!"
That's our James. He is such a tender heart and so easy to please. He makes parenting rewarding, even on the days where we know we've been sub-par. We're so Lucky to have him in our Family, home and lives.
BTW: The cake was his idea-- and it was a good one. Originally I was going to put Monster trucks on it. But after I put one on he said: "I don't like monster trucks. Let's put the helicopter on it." The remote control helicopter was a hit with all the kids, especially when the candles were blown out and Mike flew it off the cake and around the kitchen!
How sweet and how fun. I can imagine what a hit it was to have the helicopter take off. You're such fun parents.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday James! Four already!?! Crazy! Blake will turn 6 this coming Friday! Time has flown by! Apparently trampoline parties are popular for January birthdays! Blake is having his party at Airbourne in Draper after he gets out of school on Friday! Glad James had a wonderful time and I too love the cake idea! Happy Birthday again little buddy!
ReplyDeleteBTW- can't remember if I told you or not but Amy is having another BOY! We just can't seem to get a girl from our gene pool! :)
Hey, James, looks like you had a great birthday! It is great that you are four now - such a big boy!! Good idea about the helicopter on your cake too!
ReplyDeleteI love that your Mum puts up such great pictures of you so we can remember what you look like and see what a great birthday and cake you had!
