Bunk Beds

The boys got new bunk beds this week. We got a black set last month. But we wanted brown and will eventually need a second dresser. So... our black set is for sale on KSL for more than we paid for it and we got this set at Costco.
The boys really got into pulling out their tool box and "helping" Daddy put the beds together. They were serious and meticulous little workers...

Other happenings this week:

- Aunt Shelly had her baby! Healthy baby boy #2 is cute as can be and hopefully out of the NICU by now.

- I went to BYU and scanned the majority of our childhood, college, and Mike's mission pictures. They have amazingly quick scanners and now we have digital pics. Can I just say that I am sooooo- grateful to live in the digital age. I am so glad that Mike and I barely made the cut off of having all of our pictures taken by digital cameras. Luckily he had one when we were dating and we've had one ever since. Thankfully I didn't have to scan any that cover the last 8 years (with exception to my plagiarized professional pics taken of the boys). I cannot even imagine having to scan the thousands of pics I would have of the boys by now. Not to mention the huge expense of film and printing-- and scrapbooking. Yuck!

- Mac vs. PC. Wow. Mike and I made the right choice almost two years ago and we did not make it soon enough! The computer I was working on at BYU crashed 8 times on me. It was a PC. My Mac has never crashed on me. I'm a sucker for Odes and I found this beauty online.  After this weekend, I Love his last statement that Macs are what computers should be
Oh ya, I've never appreciated my mouse pad like I ought to. I have this amazing wireless pad that I never have to move around. BYU still had the bulky mice on wires. I almost yanked it out of the machine and chucked it across the room.

-Additionally, I've always known this, but while working on this piece of junk computer, I was reminded of just how lucky I am to have married a computer genius. I can ask Mike ANY technology question and he can answer it. Not only can he answer it, but he can super dumb it down for me to understand what the heck he's talking about. Btw: He know most answers off the top of his head. If he doesn't he can find it online, translate it, and solve any problem very quickly. Smart Boy. Lucky Girl.

- On a more spiritual/personal note, I am LOVING our Teachings of the Presidents of the Church study this year. I admit that I have never read one of the prophet books cover to cover, but I've been reading this year's manual: George Albert Smith and have been so inspired by him. It's helped me remember that Love is the most important thing we do here on earth and that I need to do a lot better. I like this Quote:
Your Happiness will be in proportion to your Charity and to your Kindness and to your love with whom you associate here on Earth.
