He's a Smart One
Okay, I LOVE Smith's Marketplace. My Mom would stop at Smith's whenever we visited Utah and I have always been a Smith's shopper. Even in college. I've shopped there enough to know what deals to watch for and what products to stay clear from and buy at Wal-mart for a fraction of the price.
Well, today I was checking out and getting the deal of all deals (on peanut butter Nature Valley granola bars that I feed my kids way too often), assuming that both boys were sitting in the car portion of the cart playing with their pile of toys that we "borrowed" from the toy aisle.
However, when I went to push the cart overflowing with granola bars I get a glimpse of this little raccoon kid way on the other side of the store. My little Daniel peeling away golden wrapping just as fast as his little paws can move and gnawing on this over-priced Chocolate Bunny.
At this point I had no choice but to go back to a check out stand and buy this treat that I Never, Ever, Ever would've ever bought. Ever. Which of course my sly little 22 month old is fully aware of, and instead of choosing to throw a fit and get nothing like his brother does, he went straight for what he wanted and had at it.
James' face was priceless as he watched in amazement at how Daniel got just exactly what he wanted by being so naughty.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lindt chocolate. I'm really hoping that bunny is still around when I get home from work tonight. :-D
ReplyDeleteMust be the vicarious British blood in little Daniel's veins. Gotta admit, he has good taste. So cute.
