Happy Birthday, James!!!

Dear James, 

Happy 3rd Birthday!!! You are such a joy and a delight to have in our home and family. You bring so much fun, happiness, and light into our lives and we are so very lucky to have you. You are such a fun boy and a nice kid-- others like you and are drawn toward you because they are comfortable and happy around you. 

James, I love how cuddly you are. I love to hold you and hug you and as tiring as it can be, I think it's cute that some nights you get lonely in your bed and have to sneak into ours. I love to watch you with Daniel and I love how much you love him. You are so sweet with him and you already have a special brotherhood bond. You are smart and are learning so much every day. You're counting, retelling stories, and showing specific interests (such as in fire trucks). You get so excited about things and you just carry this contagiously happy personality with you. I adore your laugh, your creative imagination, and your adorable sense of humor.

Sometimes I expect so much of you and get hard on you when you act your age. I thank you for your patience, your unconditional love, and your malleability in accepting your Mom with weaknesses and all. You are so rewarding to raise and soooo much fun to spend my days with. I Love staying home with you and being the one who gets to spend her days with you. Everyday brings new adventures and stories. You have such a tender and sweet little spirit and we are so blessed to be your parents.
