We could not ask for a more loving and attentive big brother for Daniel. He loves to play with him and help out in any way we need. Last week Daniel was in his car seat crying (we were heading out the door) and James went over and started rocking him like I do. Daniel stopped crying for him.
He's such an oldest child and he just thrives on helping around the house. He'll get Daniel's pacifier if I ask for it, sometimes he'll pick up his toys, and there's even been a few times when he will hand me a small piece of trash on the floor for me to throw away. Just last night we had quite the adventure with the dishwasher. I guess you're supposed to run the disposal before running a load? Boy did we learn. All of a sudden while sitting and reading, we heard water gushing everywhere. Mike and I quickly got up to soak up the water. Then comes helpful James. All by himself, he assessed the situation then went to the towel drawer, pulled out a towel, and started helping.
I love his laugh, his smile, his personality, and seeing him grow.
Here is his pet fish. It's name is "Fish." I wanted to name him tractor because that's what James loves, but we thought that might confuse the little guy. I think a fish is the perfect amount of maintenance when it comes to owning a pet.
Such a big boy! Isn't it fun to see how much they 'grow up' as soon as they're not the baby anymore.
