Cute Little Brother

How I love my little one, let me count the ways:
  1. I love this adorable smile of his! He has always had a smiling face, even when he's sleeping he has a content and happy face.
  2. I love our little conversations. I love his tender little voice and the wonderful conversations of sounds we have together.
  3. I love his cute little infant reflexes and how he holds his little hands together when he doesn't have anything else to hold.
  4. I love how cuddly he is. I'm so lucky to have two babies in a row who love to cuddle and who melt right into me. He would be held all day long if he could.
  5. I love how he freezes when James gets too close (and inadequately supervised) in anticipation of having a car or truck driven on top of his head, or worse yet, dropped on him. Poor little guy, James never had these random little love scratches that he gets. Somehow he knows that wild creature loves him and isn't being intentionally rough.
  6. I love how he sleeps. Some nights he sleeps for 6 hours straight. Typically I'm only up with him for 1/2 and hour once a night. What an angel. Plus, he sleeps in his bed and on his back. How did I get so lucky?
  7. I love watching him grow into a healthy, solid, strong boy. No more preemie here, he's looking great.
  8. I love giving him baths. Sunday was his first bath in the big tub and did he ever love it. He had his arms and legs going just as fast as they could. He enjoys hopping in the bath with James too (with me holding him of course). I love his soft and fluffy hair after a bath-- and I love the way he smells.
  9. I love how social he is. He loves a good party. He loved our Halloween party this last week. He loved being passed around, and held and adored by everyone. He loved the action and watching everyone. He'll cuddle up to, hold a conversation with, and be comfortable with anyone who shows and interest in him. I especially love the conversations he has with friends and family on the other side.
  10. I Love his tender and precious spirit in our home. He is a constant reminder of what matters most in this life. He is friendly, happy, and sweet. We're so lucky to have such a wonderful new addiiton to our family. I love you Daniel!
