Day 2: Modern Conveniences

What a wonderful time to live with so many choices, opportunities, and comforts. A few years ago I blew up our microwave while cooking a spaghetti squash (making holes with a fork isn't just a recommendation). We were without one for about a week and I wasn't sure if we would survive that dreary period of time. No microwave popcorn, no heating up leftovers from last night's dinner, no quick meal in 1 minute or less... if we wanted food it was either cold, heated on the stove... or bought at Subway.

We are so spoiled. Even just looking at what we have compared to 20 years ago. Growing up, we had a comodor computer, still used the dial phones, had no dishwasher, ac, etc. Our lives are so comfortable and the older I get, the more I recognize the responsibility we have in imparting of our substances to others. And, what better time to do that, than the upcoming holiday season.

  1. I love this idea! I actually thought on Saturday night that I should do something like this on my blog. And then I get on here this morning and lo & behold you beat me to it! I may still copycat you!
