Day 3: Education

Speaking of modern conveniences and opportunities, I am so grateful to have received such excellent K-12, undergraduate, and post-graduate education and training. I'm so grateful for the support of my family who helped and encouraged me every step of the way.

I remember the hours my Dad spent teaching me my math facts with flashcards, timed tests, and pencil/ paper. The time my Mom put into reading and editing so many of my English papers. The listening and supportive ears during times of frustration and stress, and my number one fans when I did well and excelled.

I'm so grateful to have met my childhood goal of attending BYU. I LOVED my time there and feel so lucky to have been trained and taught at such a wonderful university. I made lifelong friends, grew and matured, studied hard, and played even harder.

I was so lucky to work in the Alpine School District and am grateful for the friends I made, the experiences I had, and the outstanding training I received. There are still some excellent public schools out there and I was lucky to work in one.
