My annual Christmas Card and poem :)

‘Tis 3 weeks ‘til Christmas and there’s magic in the air.
Such a contrast in feeling in one single year.
I’ve prayed and I’ve tried to find peace in the season and miraculously it’s come for no real reason.

Last year was rough with a new baby boy,
As the needs of 3 young kids in the house put a damper on our joy.
But we’re adjusting somehow as our boys continue to grow,
thank goodness for iPads, school, and teachers we know.

The boys are so happy with smiles on their faces,
Especially when they discover Elfy in random odd places.
Sitting in wreaths and spinning in the fan,
Watching and reporting to the big St Nicholas man.

Their eyes light up and their countenances glow,
They gaze at our houselights reflecting on fresh fallen snow.
The tree shines bright as do the banisters and garland,
Decorations are a favorite in this own Christmas wonderland.

The MoTab on Pandora brings peace to my heart,
As a reminder to the insignificance of my amazon cart.
The decorations are up and the shopping is done,
Now we can sit and cuddle while watching Christmas re-runs.

We’ll see lights at TP at least 3 times in December,
Along with Temple Square, the Nativity, and the reindeer in their 3-horned splendor.
City Creek, candy trains, cousin fun, and neighbor parties,
Keep the boys entertained like some Halloween harties.

Sledding, Joey the Snowman, and playing in snow,
Plowing sidewalks as fast as the 4-wheeler will plow,
Eating at Tucanos and learning to ski,
All whilst the boys are barely still free.

The boys are excited to tell Santa clear and plain
That what they want, are Legos and Dusty the RC airplane.
They continue to beg for a tea party with kin,
Because their two favorite things are treats and Katelyn.

Our family is young and Christmas is a magical time,
It’s the best time of the year and boys think it’s sublime.
So to Mike and my boys and each person I love,
I say:
“Merry Christmas to all and may we feel His joy from above!”

‘Tis 3 Weeks ‘til Christmas (chat gbt)
(A Poem for My Family)

'Tis three weeks 'til Christmas, and magic fills the air,
A season of peace, so different from last year’s despair.
I’ve prayed for calm, for peace in the season,
And somehow, it’s come—no rhyme, no reason.

Last year was tough with a newborn boy,
With the needs of three young kids, we struggled to find joy.
But here we are, adjusting, somehow we grow,
Thank goodness for iPads, school, and teachers we know.

The boys are so happy, their smiles full of cheer,
Especially when Elfy appears, year after year.
In wreaths, on fans, in places quite odd,
Watching and reporting to dear Santa Claus, God.

Their eyes light up, their hearts all aglow,
Gazing at houselights on freshly fallen snow.
The tree sparkles bright, the garlands so grand,
In our Christmas wonderland, hand in hand.

The MoTab plays softly, a balm for my soul,
Reminding me that life isn’t about a shopping goal.
The decorations are up, the gifts are all done,
Now we sit and we cuddle, and watch reruns in the sun.

We'll see lights at TP three times this December,
Along with Temple Square, the Nativity—oh, we’ll remember,
The reindeer with horns, their magical sight,
And the joy of the season on every snowy night.

City Creek’s lights, candy trains, cousin fun,
Neighbor parties and games, until the day is done.
Sledding, Joey the Snowman, snowball fights too,
Plowing sidewalks with speed—what a sight to view!

We’ll eat at Tucanos, learning to ski,
While the boys can hardly stay still, so full of glee.
They’re eager to tell Santa their hearts' true desires,
Legos, Dusty the plane, and tea parties by the fire.

Their two favorite things? Katelyn and treats,
They’d beg for a tea party, with sweets as the feats.
Our family is young, and Christmas is bright,
A season of wonder, pure love, and light.

So to Mike, my boys, and all whom I cherish,
Merry Christmas to all—may this joy never perish.
May we feel His love, His peace from above,
As we celebrate the season with hearts full of love.
