Camping

Isn't he a doll!?

We had our one and only family campout of the year and it's a good thing it was at Timpooneke, only 30 minutes away.
Andrew is at, in my opinion, the very hardest age for camping. At 14 months he still insists on crawling, which makes for a VERY messy and dirty little kid. He's curious and wants to touch the coals, he's attracted to water and wants to play in it, and everything goest straight to his mouth.
But most of all, he likes his bed. And only his bed.
He never sleeps in our bed with us. He ended that at 2 weeks old. He gets plenty of stimulation when he's awake and he loves his down time.
So, 10 pm we tried getting him to sleep with me...
12 am we tried to get him to sleep with Mike
1 am he tried to sleep with James
2 am Mike and I were appalled that it was only 2 am.
2:45 am I pack up and drive Andrew home
3:15 am Andrew is peacefully and happily passed out in the confines of his crib
10 am we wake up :)
11 am he goes down for another nap
3 pm we hit the stores and thoroughly enjoy life without the demanding older brothers!

I Love family campouts!
