Spontaneous Road Trip

The leaves were at their peak when we went up the canyon on Sunday, but we got up there late and I wanted to see more of them!

So, the following morning the boys and I got off to an early start and drove to the zoo.

(James took this big brother job VERY seriously and by Andrew's expression, you can tell he trusts James... it would look very different if that were Daniel he was entrusting his life to)

Then we drove through Emigration Canyon to Park City, through Midway, past Soldier Hollow, to Cascade Springs, the Alpine Loop...

Then ended up at Aspen Grove. 

Then back home.

I grossly underestimated the distance and time in the car... but the boys were patient, we entertained ourselves for the day, and we saw plenty of fall colors. We have had our fill of leaves for the year.
