Preschool

A year ago I fully intended to keep James home this year... then Andrew came and everything changed! He dropped out mid school year last year and didn't want to try it again.
Before school started I gave James the choice of 1) going to preschool where he gets to play, learn, socialize, and be a big, independent kid, or 2) stay home for those 3 hours and watch PBS kids on the iPad while the rest of us nap... tough choice.
Needless to say, James LOVES his preschool, of which he reminds us of every day. He Loves his teachers. His school friends. The projects and activities they do. Playing on the playground, with blocks, cutting, gluing, singing, etc.
... he even has a girlfriend. A few weeks ago I asked him who his school friends were. His response: "Jane."
I figured he was just saying that because it sounds so much like "James."

Mommy: "Is Jane your girlfriend?"
James: "Yes"
Mommy: "Why do you like her?"
James: "Because she is nice."

She's also adorable. She's the cute blonde on the far right with a red Germany sweatshirt. Hopefully he'll always choose that well.
