We a big neighborhood party to celebrate Pioneer Day!
Bounce houses, water slide, jousting, barrel train, pancake breakfast, face painting, a bike parade (James' big debut without training wheels), live music, and a block dance.
This pic is of some of the dads riding the train:
Andrew is 31/2 months old. Smiling. Laughing. Grasping toys. Even sitting up with some help.
He is so fun. A super sleeper. Happy. Pleasant. Easy.
It's the other two that pose the challenge for us! Heres a pic of Dan trying to get some attention when James had a friend over. It worked. But probably not the kind he was going for...
Our house is a 10 minute drive from the canyon. 25 from where this pic was taken.
James is really into hiking this summer. We've gone on a few little hikes, including to the 1st Falls above Aspen Grove. It was more rugged than we had remembered. Mike ended up carrying Andrew in the backpack and Daniel on his shoulders for most of the hike.
James is the family's most recent BYU fan (thanks to his Trainor cousins :) He loved seeing so many other hikers sporting BYU shirts and hats. One hiker said: "Nice Y shirt." To which James said, "My shirt's not white." We then had to explain to his that BYU is also called "the Y."

Mike and I enjoyed our 2nd annual Goldener Hirsch getaway at Deer Creek. Here's a pic from our balcony. The first night was a vacation from the two older boys. The 2nd night we had them with us. End of vacation for us, but fun as a family. The weekly concert was "Disney" with singers accompanied by the Utah Symphony. They also had an "instrument petting zoo" for kids to try out different instruments.
Fantastic camera work - great mom and dad! Grandma Ginny
