Every week is an accompishment worth celebrating. On Thursday we reached the gestational age of Daniel's birthdate. The baby is continuing to grow and I'm continuing to rest.
I've got to say, Mike is pretty envious of me right now and I don't blame him. I get to hang out in bed and read books all day long. Meanwhile, he is stuck working a 40 hour week only to come home to child care, dishes, house cleaning, taking down the Christmas lights, yard work, grocery shopping, meal preparation, etc, etc. I'd be envious too.
As helpless as I feel, and as much as I'd like to be helping, I've got to admit that
it's kind of relaxing. I nap, cuddle with the boys, and read books.
Here are a few books and quotes I've enjoyed while in bed:

Quote of the Week:
When you have children, play with them- a lot! Read to them- a lot! Lie by them when you put them to bed each night and talk, maybe for only two to five minutes. These things will make all the difference in your relationship with them throughout the years.

Wow. You really have been reading a lot. :)I'm glad you've made it to 33 weeks, hopefully you can keep him in there for about three more weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a great example of turning a hard time into a "spiritual feast" to read (and summarize for us) such uplifting books. And thanks, Mikey, for being such a great husband and father. Keep cooking 'bean' for a bit longer but hope all goes well! Love you guys!
