This week:
-Halloween was Gorgeous this year!!! We could not have asked for a more perfect Fall day. The afternoon was warm and spent at the park. The evening started early and lasted for a while. We walked the neighborhood, the boys met up with some little buddies, they got way too much candy, and they loved it so much that they wanted to go out trick-or-treating the next day as well.
-The boys started gymnastics this month. It might be the only month they do it this winter but they sure love it. James is in a little 3-5 year old class and to our delight we learned that one of his little friends is in it.
Daniel is in the Mom and Me class and is a little higher maintenance. The work is rewarding, however when he has the biggest smile on his face the entire duration of the class!
-I started up with exercising again. I haven't done a thing for 2 1/2 months now. Sleep and trying to keep food down have been my goals. I'm now officially in my 2nd trimester and am going to go on with life whether I feel good or not. Took the boys for a walk to the park, etc.
-The highlight of the boys' week was on Friday night when their Trainor cousins came over to spend the night. They LOVE Jake, Matt, and Kate and were so excited the entire time they were here. Kate and James played firetruck and police car on our two cushion couches. They played blocks, went to the dinosaur museum, and even watched our boys while Mikey and I went to the Temple.
-I finally broke down and hired a girl in our ward to clean our house once a week. I can't keep up with it (or rather, I choose to nap) and our house is a wreck. She came for an hour on Saturday and did all of my vacuuming and starting mopping the floor. Additionally, she helped to motivate me to clean as I cleaned right along side her and together we got the house back in shape. It's $ I'd love to put in 20 other places, but I think for where our family is right now, that it's $ well spent.
Cute Story:
My birthday is this month. Mike and I are on the "free birthday meal" list for The Roof at Temple Square. Only the yummiest place ever and by far our favorite restaurant. Well, on Tuesday (my pick-up the mail day) I opened up our mailbox and found our free coupon in it! After letting out a squeal of excitement, James inquired. I told him that I got a birthday card. James LOVES, loves, loves birthdays. He got pretty excited thinking about my upcoming birthday, party and cake and asked what kind of birthday I would be having. I told him I didn't know. Without hesitation he asked, "What's your favorite toy?"
He then proceeded to help me out by talking about his firetruck birthday and suggesting that maybe I should have that theme as well.
It was during my 3rd pregnancy I hired Lisa to come and clean once a week. Those third babies, I tell you.
ReplyDeletehey, when you are eating there for your birthday, sign me up for the birthday club too!!! =) Happy Birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteJames is so cute. If you want we can make you a themed cake. ;) I'm glad your staring to feel better and starting to do things again. I'm not looking forward to that part of pregnancy, whenever that will be. How do you sign up for the birthday club at the Roof. I would love that for Nate and I. If you have to do it while you're there. You know my birthday, but Nate's is April 25. :) hehe.
ReplyDeleteIm so happy for you that you got some help...you have a huge house to clean! I find myself doing the same thing when blanca is here. I WANT to clean so many things while she is here. Your family is so cute, as always. Hope you feel better soon.
