4 Free Non egg laying chickens
We have 2 Rhode Island Red and 2 Leghorn chickens.
We gave farming a try and are done.
They are beautiful and healthy, but are 2 1/2 years old and no longer giving us a single egg.
They are extremely tame and make surprisingly good lap pets-- until they poop.
We'd butcher them if we weren't so squeamish.
Call me if you want them.
But then I got an email telling me how irresponsible and ignorant I am, so I posted a new ad:

They have not laid consistently in the last month but before that we were getting two eggs a day.
We are also selling a coop with feeders, boxes, etc.
But then I got an email telling me how irresponsible and ignorant I am, so I posted a new ad:

Um, ya, flowery wording or not, we're done with the chickens.
They were totally worth it due to how much the kids loved them the first month and with the awesome pictures I got of them lugging them around the yard. But, now that the novelty has worn off, they are a huge nuisance that we have to pay to feed.
Chickens: Been there, done that, don't think we'll do it again... so, maybe I was an ignorant and irresponsible chicken owner!
