Have I mentioned just how much we love the Summer? We pretty much love every single thing about it!
The gorgeous mornings, long days, windows open at night, yard work (once in a while), fresh food from the garden, flowers, yard saleing Sat mornings, long bike rides, drives in the canyon, comfortable evenings outside, walks through the neighborhood, swimming during the heat of the day, etc, etc.
Our new favorite ways to spend the evenings is to ride the four wheelers around trails behind our house then end up at the park. The boys are getting pretty good at climbing around on the different things there. And who would've thought I'd enjoy 4-wheeling so much!? It sure helps when I have a cute little body to cuddle up to!

Other blog worthy information:
To celebrate Mike's birthday we ate dinner at The Roof at Temple Square. It was Amazing!!! We tried just about everything their buffet had to offer, including about 30 desserts. Every single one of which were delectable and perfect! So fun to go on a date and spend time alone with my Mikey.
While hanging out in the living room we hear James' voice coming from the bathroom saying: "Mickey Mouse!"
It took us a couple of times to figure out what he was saying and a few more to figure out why. Then occurred to me: He was pooping. And sure enough, when we went to look his poo looked just like Mickey Mouse. Boys, boys, boys and their fascination with poo.
James has a few new really cute mannerisms. 1) When I ask him a question that he needs to think about he listens then says :"Hmmmm" and thinks about what his answer will be. Sometimes he answers and sometimes he forgets that a question was asked. 2) He's been answering questions with "yes" which doesn't sound like much but it is so cute how he says it. 3) His recent favorite move is Mary Poppins and he sings the Spoonful of Sugar song around the house and while he's playing with his toys: "Boonful shug medin down, medin down in lightful way." 4) He comes up with the cutest little words. One of his new ones if for doorbell. When we went to pick up Joshy to go on a 4-wheeler ride he ran up to the front door and said: "Joshy has a ding bell!" and proceeded to ring it.
Yesterday while going down for a nap with Daddy we turned to him and said "I love you. I'm happy."
Mr. Daniel is one seriously funny kid. I still can't look at him without laughing or smiling. He does the goofiest things and makes the silliest faces. Now that he is two he has this brand new cry that says Two-year-old all over it. His other thing is the way he says "No." He doesn't just say it once instead he has to say: "No. Huh uh." and shake his head and stick out his lips and glare. I think it was funnier until I realized that he picked that one up from me!
Daniel is also working on potty training. He seems to want to but is selective. Also, I call him 'Piddles' because he is a dog who pees everywhere and all the time. It like he saves some in there for the next place he wants to mark his territory. He is using the toilet some and I've even put him in underwear a couple of times. However, with his little personality it may take a while.
The boys love each other. During the day the get to each other but at night everything is all better as they snuggle up together in the same room and recently in the same bed. Sometimes we'll put Daniel down in his bed only to hear him crawl out and climb in with James. Sometimes James asks for him but usually he tolerates it.
Our Ward is splitting today!! It feels like Christmas and I am so excited. I would be sad if I were still in RS every Sunday but I'm in nursery. We have 40 kids in our nursery and only two rooms. Over half come each week. We are bursting at the seems and it will be nice to be down to a manageable and fun number. Rumor has it that we'll be getting back a chunk that got taken from us a year ago. Gotta love the rumors and speculations!
Summers are the best! I wish I was more active during this one but baby #3 wears me out too quick and makes me overheat ALL THE TIME! But it's just fun to hear about what you and your cuties have been up to! Blake is starting school in a few weeks but hopefully we can do something before then or during his first break!
