After years of dread, worry, concern, and fear of going blind-- yet knowing the day would eventually have to come because my eyes were so bad, Mike finally gave me the push I needed and I got LASIK done this week!
We've been putting aside some money for about a year as I kept telling myself I would get it done after nursing Daniel and getting pregnant with the next one-- and yet that time was here and I wasn't doing anything about it. SO, finally last week Mike called Hoopes Vision and set up an appointment with them for Monday.[Insert from Mike: my motivation for doing it immediately was purely financial. I found a deal for $800 off that expired Jan. 31st. Hehe.]That went well, they had an opening for Wednesday, and I decided to just do it before I could psych myself out too much. I was able to watch a few surgeries there at the office which helped me to know exactly what to expect. Plus a little Valium the day of, I felt it went well and was a pretty quick procedure.
My prescription was -5.75 and -6.0-- now I'm seeing 20/20 and am so glad Mike got me to finally just go for it!
Oooo! Lucky you! Congratulations on your "new" and truly improved eyesight (as well as finding such a great deal)!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I've always had the same concerns. Gohar would do it in a heartbeat! I'll have to ask you more about it when we're over next time! Congrats on being 20/20 again - I haven't seen that well since I was, oh, 9 years old.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Robin! from Ginny
