Winter

My Dreamboat.

Winter is not entirely awful...
I can leave the boys' milk in the car without it spoiling.
Christmas really feels like Christmas when we are all bundled up in warm clothes.
Skiing and sledding.
We're saving money on air conditioning.
We're getting things done in our house (Mike would definitely disagree with this being a positive thing).
The seasons help me appreciate the beautiful weather.

Things I never knew I'd say (until I had kids):
What's that spot on the wall? Is it a bug, a booger, or a hole?
James, get off of your brother.
Can I lick your face? or, Stop licking your brother-- he's had enough.
Let's go this way so we can drive past all of the tractors.
James, hit your own self. Not Daniel.
Can I eat you for dessert?
Off of him, bud (I say this one at least 10 times a day).
You are so cute I could kiss the snot out of you.
Who wants to go for a car ride? (as though it's a trip to Disneyland)
Let's watch Cars again (first time I saw that movie I thought it was the most boring thing)
No, those cars are Mommy's (yes, I do have my own Pixar Cars collection that James will get as soon as he can keep track of his toys).
Don't wrap the lights around your brother's neck (that was more of a serious lecture).
Your penis is not a toy.
Don't touch mommy's boobs.
Be careful with Daddy's package.
Stay out of the Christmas tree.
Can we please leave the pillows on the couch for 3 minutes before our home teachers come?
Show me your teeth! (when taking pics of James)
If you make Daniel cry, you're in time out.
Be soft with him (at least 20 times a day).
Don't crawl around the floor at Wal-mart, let's at least wait until we get to Costco.
Stop jumping on your brother!
Want to use the big boy toilet?
That was Daniel's toy.
That's James' toy. Let's get you one.
Be nice to Mommy.
Now your hand's in time out. Now both hands are in time out.
Bed time, bed time!! (while singing, dancing, and skipping up the stairs)
Daddy's home! hooorrraaayyy!
Wipe the booger on your own shirt.
That's your nice shirt-- use this napkin instead.
Just wipe your face on your sleeve.
Okay, I'm watching.
Say excuse me-- even if Daddy doesn't.
Okay, who pooped this time?
Out of the Christmas Tree.
I smell poop.
Where are his parents? (when one of our boys are acting up in public)

Explanation of pictures: Yesterday was a full day! We first went to and helped out at the annual ward Christmas party. We then went to Charlie's birthday party (that is a pic of James opening and getting really excited about Charlie's new dump truck). We crammed in naps for all of us and then we met up with Mike's family in SL to enjoy the lights at Temple Square. It was so much fun, it was a gorgeous night, and the we all loved it. I LOVE being a Mom at Christmastime. And all the time.
