Conference Weekend

Conference weekend was way busier than it ever should be-- probably because it was James' first real Easter as well. Really, it's his 3rd, but it's the first one that he's been able to join in on the egg hunts, etc. Which, by the way, we had three of them. Additionally, I decided to try cooking some new things. Usually I just make Rhodes cinnamon rolls for Saturday evening after the Priesthood session. Well, this time I decided I'd be little Mrs. Homemaker and make homemade rolls... and while I was at it, pizza as well. Boy was that something I don't plan on doing again. My poor boys were neglected because their Mom was busy in the kitchen all weekend.

And, not only was the weekend filled with food and festivities, but Mike's new favorite toy came in the mail on Saturday. He was like a kid waiting for Christmas all week, and when it came, that's all he wanted to play with. I might have felt threatened by it a few years ago, but now I too think it's a pretty cool toy: it's the new apple iPad.

  1. Rolls and pizza? The first thing I think of is all the dishes you had to do after. Yowsa. Sounds really delicious though! And you dyed Easter Eggs with James! I still haven't EVER done that with my kids. Scares me a bit.

The iPad. Do you watch Modern Family? Mike reminds me of that last episode. = )

  3. The cinnamon rolls were really yummy :) Have you tried the bread maker yet? I think I'll stick with Rhodes. Only takes less than five minutes to put out on the cookie sheet (I know, I am the domestic goddess!)
