New Lens

My  Belated Christmas present came in the mail today: a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM Lens for my camera. I found it on ebay for 1/2 the price of buying it new. Which, my ebay purchasing experience was worth a post in and of itself. Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but it was my first auction purchase and it was pretty fun. Luckily Mike's made quite a few purchases that way so he knew what to do. In the last five seconds of the auction we placed the highest bid... ha ha ha... and "won" the lens.

So, my lens came today and I am in love.

Here are a few pics I've taken in the last hour. I know they aren't the greatest, but even when I don't have a clue what I'm doing, I think they still look a ton better than my best pics with my other lens... 

so, bare with me as I learn...
