This outfit was just so bad. When James was all put together and ready to go sledding outside I turned to Mike and asked: "Is this a picture we want to record and remember or is it something we want to forget all about?" The snow pants I bought at a yard sale last summer, but they are 3T and huge on James. The coat was a .50 cent special at a yard sale as well. The mittens are worthless in the snow and were also only .50 cents.
By the way, we even borrowed our neighbor's sled. We are still faithfully trying the "Dave Ramsey Diet" and haven't forked out the money to buy snow clothes or a sled... if you're wondering how I bought that lens a few weeks ago, it's from my "Amazon Sales." I wanted this lens so bad that I scrounged around the house looking for things we didn't use anymore. Then I entered them in on Amazon.com to see if they were worth anything. If they were, I posted, sold, shipped, and got paid for them. I sold books, textbooks, and a few CDs and DVDs. In all I made about $250... and bought my lens.
Mike and I are already wondering how we are going to teach our kids how to be responsible with their money and I think this picture gives a pretty good idea as to what we have in mind.
Hey... we all have a little WT in us! LOL! I think you guys are doing a great job teaching about the value of a dollar through your example!
