Pics

Okay, Mike is adorable and totally knows how to get a variety of reactions out of me. This one was no disappointment. After James' bath instead of getting James dressed he put this little robe on him and was it ever hilarious. He ran laps around the kitchen laughing and giving me quite the show of cuteness. Good job, Mikey for dressing him up for mommy.

So, it's a little bit sad that we're losing more sleep over the kid instead of our little newborn. Daniel is still eating twice at night, but typically he does a good job at going to sleep right after. James, however, has learned that he can get some one-on-one attention from his parents if he pitches fits all night. The cuddly little thing has ended up in our bed on more than one occasion, though now that the second wave of teething is almost over, it's back to the crib and a little bit of tough love.

I think Mike's comment sums it all up: "That picture of Daniel swaddled up is really cute. But, if you look carefully you'll see a caged monkey in the background. Wow! What brilliant photography!" I'm super impressed he noticed that! And it's true, the only reason James was in the pack 'n play was to give James a couple minutes of protection against his overly affectionate and loving big brother.

James loves to play in cars, pretend he's driving, handle all the buttons and gadgets, and climb around the seats. Here he is just waiting to head off on our Saturday adventure to Deer Creek.

  2. Ha, I hadn't noticed the 'monkey'! But I like the picture of Mike and James sleeping - really sweet and 'boy-ish'! Daniel is a cutie all bundled up too.
