Daniel was born last night and is doing great. He is 5 lbs 6 oz and 18 1/2 inches. Since he's quite early they took him down to another medical center as a precaution. When I stopped by last night to check on him he was doing great. He was off the respirator and had a little nasal CPAP, but didn't need oxygen. He was just using room air. The nurse said he'd probably be off the CPAP this morning. I'm headed down there as soon as this post is done to see how he's doing. It kind of sucks having our new little guy about 30 minutes away, but we're just glad he's healthy and doing well.
The transport team. Daniel got to ride in an ambulence last night. (He's fine. It's just a precaution for preemies.)
Holy crap, your kids are tall!
ReplyDelete7 weeks early and he's 18 1/2 inches long?! My word! I know people who deliver babies full term that aren't that long! Gee whiz!
So, he's 5 lbs, 6 oz? How long will he have to stay in the hospital, do you think?
He's pretty darn cute, even with all the tubes and stuff. Congratulations! :-)
CONGRATULATIONS! Even though he's a bit of an early surprise! I'm glad that he's doing well and give Robin ALL of our LOVE!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new pikinini. Good to hear everyone is safe and doing well.
ReplyDeletewow, congrats!! We are so glad that everything is going well despite being so early! He is a cutie!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both! I am so glad he's healthy. While we didn't have any preemies, our eldest, Robbie, had some minor complications and was in the NICU for about a week. It is hard not being near the baby, we totally understand, but in the long run for the best. Saying big prayers of thanks for you all. Love,
ReplyDeleteJudy, Randy, and the boys
