Tulip Festival

Because I'm working toward my "Master Gardener" certificate--whatever that's good for--James and I spent a lot of time volunteering at and walking the Tulip Festival this year. It was absolutely gorgeous-- spring in and of itself is wonderful after such a long winter inside. I really enjoyed watching the gardens change over a two week period and James loved spending the time outside. Here are a few pics of the color, James and his little friend Joshy, and James eating a flower hair clip.

Mike also took him around for an hour and this is how it went: James in the stroller for a few minutes, get out and walk, James trying to pull off all the petals of the tulips, getting back in the stroller, James getting out at the waterfall and rolling down the hill, playing with other kids, Mike going back up the steep hill, the little duckling following.

I just looked at toddler "harnesses" (leashes) on Amazon.com and I think I found the one I'm going to buy.
