Differing Standards of Cleanliness

When I work in the garden or flower beds, I double-glove my hands: normal gardening gloves on the outside and latex gloves underneath.

When I use toilets, sometimes even the public one in my own house, I lay tp down on the seat before I sit--or I just don't sit.

When food falls on a floor other than my own, I throw it away.

James, on the other hand, has an immune system to build.

During the course of one week he's discovered the bathroom, eaten anything and everything he can find on the floor, rolled around in the flower beds, and eaten more dirt than I want to think about.

  1. Yep, the mouth is how they learn about their world. Sometimes I think it's almost better if you don't know what they've been into!

  4. um, I think you might be the only person I know of that will put toilet paper down on her own toilet before using it. A quirk I never knew about you! Oh, and ps, we never did get together! When should we??

  5. Oh, my gosh...I love it! I love the "this is heavenly" expression on his face and can picture James cramming as fast as he can knowing it's only a matter of a short time before he "gets caught"! You must have been horrified...and I can imagine you picking a little pebble out of his poop today to add to your calendar, right?? Love, Mom

  6. Isn't it crazy how they even survive? I often wonder why all babies don't have hepatitis. It just seems inevetible.

The girl you met is named Chanel. She was a laurel when I taught Young Women's in our first ward. She's really sweet.

And the Biesingers. What are their first names? Ben? That's Ross's brother. Do they have a little one with a Hawaiian name? Small world.

    Love you guys!!!

  7. Okay, that post was so informative. I didn't know you were germ-a-phobic enough to lay down TP in your own home. You crack me up.

And speaking of things that crack me up... that picture of James literally eating dirt?! HILARIOUS! I love it!!!
