I have learned that you can never start thinking about Halloween too soon. So, Mike and I have been lame-o for the past 4 years of our married life and would like to do a little better this year. We already have an awesome costume lined up for Jameseys and are now trying to figure out ours. What is James going to be? Well, I can't say until I post his adorable picture in his adorable costume... oh, the suspense! Anyway, Mike and I would like to do an ocean theme--like pirates or something. Does anyone have any brilliant ideas? ... Mike also wants to be batman. The problem is that we would need to find a little boy costume for a hot and sexy 6'6" man. Does anyone know of a costume shop that would rent those?
Just so you all can get an idea of our "creativity" these last four years, I've included a (small) picture:

It's a demantor and a fairy god-mother :) lol!
Mike has had this "grim reaper" costume for years and I had this preference dress I never ended up wearing.
We have a costume shop down here in Provo that has adult costumes (although lots are skanky just to warn you). It is on Center street and a little west of Freedom Blvd. it's called Taylor Maid.
ReplyDeleteWHAT??? Great costumes?? and I'm going to miss our annual halloween party...how sad! I know everyone will miss my yummy treats. Yum!!! How about I send you a coconut shell bra and grass skirt...bet I can also find a good pandanas leaf for Mike and you could dress up as "islanders" :). Jamses could be your little dolphin :). How cute is that! I love your blog and how often you post on it; I check it at it at least once every day. Reading Tammy's blog I see you are truly loved! Your sister loves you, your hubby loves you, your Jamseys loves you, and your mommy loves you too...and misses you way tooo much. :(.... (tear drops). Mom
ReplyDeleteAmelia's in Draper rents and sells costumes, I believe. They're a floral/gift/costume shop on 123rd South and 7th East. You guys are great to even dress up! We don't, but haven't really had any reason to. I guess we're not much into Halloween - that will have to change as the kids get older!
ReplyDeleteYou can always rent costumes from Archive, aka the Hale Center Theatre in Orem. Possibly West Valley too but Orem for sure. They might have a batman...but for sure have piratish stuff =D http://www.haletheater.org/costumes/ they can be kinda pricey though I guess...just depends. But fun!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw another place, closer to you, this weekend. It's in P.G. just down from Macey's (turning left off the newer P.G. freeway exit, passing Macey's, through the light, it's on the left before you hit Main Street). I believe it was called Costume Craze???
